The experience from booking the room to the end of stay was extremely poor and disappointing. Positive: Closeness to the Convention Centre Negative: The access to information from the building owners was extremely difficult. Confirmation of the booking to advise access was not immediate. once received, and understood then the key pickup was also difficult. The key pickup is at a separate building from the place of stay. The keys go into a post box with number rollers which did not turn. Between myself and the Taxi driver we could not unlock the key. In the end the post box just opened. It is obviously unsatisfactory for a number of reasons. To add to this I paid more than necessary for the taxi fare as he waited. The assistance number given, no-one answers. There was a chance if we could not open the mail box for the keys I would have had to book elsewhere and I had serious concerns that I would not get my money returned. It was a horrible feeling created by this experience where no-one was contactible to provide assistance. The room smelt of mould which was clearly visible and evident in the bathroom. The carpet was filthy and the blinds were stained and in particular the bedroom blind had the control chain broken and unable to to be adjusted.
